A variation of the Zaku II developed by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. This is a later version of the Zaku II R, which was praised by many ace pilots for its high performance. However, its complex operational requirements and high cost prevented mass production, resulting in these machines being rarer than F types. The MS-06R-2 version inherits the Zaku exterior, but records indicate that the interior utilizes many Gelgoog components. Its advanced specs make it the pinnacle of the Zaku series. This particular unit belongs to Johnny Ridden, also known as the "Crimson Lightning." The red color scheme reflects the pilot's personal colors.
