Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray R
A ZAFT prototype transforming Mobile Suit. This was developed based on the Aegis Gundam that ZAFT stole from the Earth Alliance Forces. It has three modes: Mobile Suit form, assault Mobile Armor form, and Mobile Armor cruise mode. Its backpack is its main body. When Mobile Suit parts get destroyed in battle, it is capable of swapping in new parts and regenerating ad infinitum, allowing it to stay in the fight. Because this machine was designed to fulfill nearly the same purpose as the METEORS, it is capable of attaching itself to any unit with connectors, Alliance or ZAFT, and taking control of the machine. It is also equipped with a laser-acceleration system called the Lightcraft Propulsion that allows it to receive lasers from GENESIS Alpha that ignite its propellant and accelerate it drastically.
