Mobile Suit Gundam MS IGLOO
A joint project of the Zeonic, Zimmad, and MIP companies to develop a worthy successor to the Zaku II, the main mobile suit of the Principality of Zeon. The final product was completed in the final days of the war, and represented the pinnacle of Zeon's MS technology. It was also the first Zeon MS to truly adopt portable beam weaponry. Though similar in size to the Dom, its thrust was enhanced, giving it great maneuverability and mobility. Its beam weapons also gave the Gelgoog a leg up in both close and long-range combat, allowing it to overwhelm the Federation's mainline MS during the last stages of the One Year War. Captain Herbert von Kuspen brought this machine aboard the test support ship Jotunheim. Painted in grey colors, it has a high-mobility backpack and a blade antenna on its head to indicate that it is a commander machine.
