Zaku I
Mobile Suit Gundam
The first mass-produced mobile suit of the Principality of Zeon, which served as the basis for the mainline Zaku II that Zeon later developed. Compared to existing space weapons, its fuel consumption was much lower thanks to the AMBAC effect created by its four limbs. The introduction of the mobile suit, with its overwhelming space mobility, maneuverability, and versatility, was a radical departure from the weapon concepts of the time. This machine served as the Principality of Zeon's main unit during the early stages of the One Year War, and was deployed during Operation British as well as in defensive positions towards the end of the war.
