Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket
The final variation of the mass-produced mobile suit Zaku II, developed by the Principality of Zeon at the end of the One Year War as part of the United Maintenance Plan. While it boasts thruster output rivaling that of the S type used by ace pilots, its handling is similar to that of the F type, making this an underrated masterpiece. Because its propellant capacity is unchanged, however, its operating time at maximum thrust is halved. This machine retains the Zaku II's famed versatility and ease of maintenance, and it is even compatible with the components used in Federation machines. This makes it possible to take requests from pilots into account, leading to unique customizations at deployment sites, such as machines with extra armor added to their heads. Because it rolled out at the end of the One Year War, very few units were actually produced or deployed, let alone used in missions.
