Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link
An experimental machine based on the Zaku series, developed by the Principality of Zeon as a testbed for Newtype mobile suits. This was part of a plan to put Newtypes to military use. During its development, there were problems with the miniaturization of its psycommu system and arm-mounted beam cannons. Ultimately, the arms were redesigned to include large wired beam cannons, resulting in a rather distinctive look. This prototype was code named "Bishop." Three units were created, and data was collected by a test corps based on the flagship Lemuria. When Annerose Rosenheim, a Marchosias pilot who also happened to be aboard the Lemuria, was discovered to possess Newtype potential, this mysterious fourth unit was hastily constructed from a reserve unit and spare parts.
