Mobile Suit Gundam
As part of a joint project by the Zeonic, Zimmad, and MIP companies to develop a worthy successor to the Zaku II, the main mobile suit of the Principality of Zeon, 25 pre-production Gelgoogs were produced. One of these was painted red, the personal color of ace Char Aznable, otherwise known as the "Red Comet." In addition to being the first of Zeon's mobile suits to adopt portable beam weaponry, it also had enhanced thrust, giving it mobility and maneuverability rivaling that of the Federation's strongest MS, the Gundam.
